Hisonni Mustafa is a father, U.S. Marine veteran, and Emmy-winning filmmaker from Las Vegas.  In 2025, he was awarded the Emmy Foundation Scholarship, named a CDDP Directing Fellow, selected for the Tyler Perry Studios Dream Collective by Dawn Hudson, and inducted into the Rideback Rise Circle. That same year, his PSA Bang Bang earned the 2025 Professional Emmy for Best PSA, and he broke the Pacific Southwest Student Emmy record with ten nominations, winning three including Best Director. A first-generation college student and Cynthia Bunker Memorial Scholar at UNLV, Hisonni was the 2025 Trio Student of the Year and 2025 Commencement Speaker at CSN. His debut feature, Take Out Girl, won 21 festivals and streams on Hulu. He continues to tell authentic, character-driven stories that amplify underrepresented voices.
